Haredim Issue New Book Ban

Hirhurim is reporting that the Israeli Yated Ne’eman (controlled by Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv and his kanoim) has published a ban against Rabbi Nosson Kamentsky’s revised edition of Making of a Gadol. Haredim have now banned science, history, the Internet, Rabbi Slifkin, Making of a Gadol (twice), and many forms of technology. It’s time for the rest of Judaism to ban haredim. Speak with your wallets and with your feet. Don’t donate to haredi institutions. Don’t attend haredi synagogues. And do not buy haredi produced or supervised products. It’s time to put these thugs back in their caves.

What’s next? Loading up wagon with books and burning them?

  2. Modern Jew

It’s time to start demanding that Jewish Federations all over the country stop giving any funds to these nut organizations estpecially their backwards schools.

I’m afraid it’s too late. The haredization of Orthodoxy is almost complete. (Meanwhile Reform & Conservatism are going off the deep end in the oppposite direction).

But what is the middle ground?

  5. Ma. Rabbi

There is no “middle ground” Either buy Haredi products or take the chance that your eating dog meat.

  6. Plenty of middle ground.

If you want to eat meat, eat Hebrew National. It’s much more humane than Rubashkin, Alle, Meal Mart, Aaron’s Best, Shor HaBor, etc.

For all other products, I refer you to Rav Yitzhak Abadi.
