Haredi Body Snatchers Explained

Who stole a haredi baby’s corpse? Why did they really steal it? Read the details of the theft of Malka Sitner’s body and the lengths haredim will go to “protect” the Torah – and to shield community members from potential criminal charges. Please read Larry Derfner’s Jerusalem Post report.

If Toldot Aaron dislikes the State of Israel so much, they should move to Ramallah and become dhimmis. Maybe they will have to bury more Jews in a Palestinean-Islamic state, but I’m sure Hamas will not insist on autopsies.

The article makes one very good point. In an age of MRIs and CAT SCANS there was no need to do an autopsy on the little girls body and cause more pain to the greiving parents.

  3. Ma. Rabbi

Let me add to my previous post, which is what the prosecutors INTENDED to do, but did not happen. Thank G-d.

  4. HAH!!!

Hey Lavie, it was so called extremeist Jews like these who were Zionists long before Hertzl met the Kaiser. It was people like these who were shected in Hevron and Yerushalaim in the the 20,s and 30,s.
Maybe your ilk should move back to where they came from.

The article says no such thing. It mentions the haredi demand for MRI and CT Scans instead of autopsies but does not endorse it. In the specific case here, an MRI or CT scan would not help. Tissue samples must be taken.

    HAH!!! –

Maybe you should look at pictures of those killed in Hebron. Most were clean shaven or had TRIMMED beards, and wore western clothing. They were not associated with Toldos Ahron or anything else like it. They were largely Litvaks of the pre-haredi kind. (Like Flatbush Jews 30 years ago.) Even the famous “Lubavitchers” killed were modern (and not actually associated with Lubavitch, for the most part, other that by ancestry.

  6. Ma. Rabbi

The familys demand for CT scan or MRI is valid. An experienced coroner can determine a great deal of info by just looking without doing anything invasive.Even more info,is learned from the CTscan and the MRI. Surely enough to determine the cause of death.

And with that you prove you know nothing about the science involved.

Need tissue samples to run chemical reaction tests to determine whether antibiotics were taken or not. An MRI or CT scan can’t do this.

  8. Ma. Rabbi

The issue is not about anti-biotics. The family admits that the child was taken to a natural doctor and not given anti-biotics. The issue is cause of death which can be determined in many cases without an autopsy.

  9. The original stories said nothing about an autopsy, just a spinal tap, which is permitted by halacha. They wanted to do a spinal tap to determine that the cause of death was a particular strain of meningitis bacteria through DNA testing of the bacteria. The parents were warned that their child had a bacterial disease and they chose to go to homeopaths aka quacks rather than treat it with antibiotics.

In the Sitner case we see how the true believer (see Eric Hoffer) can embrace an entire raft of lunatic ideas. Homeopathic quackery is just a hop, skip and jump from a lot of the frum nonsense hareidim accept.

  10. I should add that the police would like to prosecute the parents for negligence. So would I.

Between metzitzah b’peh and herbal granolist frummies, will Louis Pasteur become as reviled as Darwin? Will they tell us that germs are just a “theory”?

    Sheesh.

    Bozo Rebbe
Dont pasken without Semicha. A spinal tap is invasive and is Not permitted except under special circumstances and with a Ravs consent.

Tell me of one RAV that will go against these hoolums in mea shearim.
They should hang these baby snatchers by thier white gartels and payos.

  13. Ma. Rabbi, I have no desire to be in the same religion as people who deny their children proper medical or those who make excuses for child neglect and/or abuse.

I know that it pains you to think otherwise, but all of those Lo Ta’aseh mitzvot were given to ‘orthodox’ Jews. If you think that frum Jews are incapable of heinous acts then you are forced to believe also that frum Jews are equally incapable of performing positive commandments as well. You can’t have it both ways.

Are you going to dance on the head of a pin over the halachic permissibility of draining fluid from a corpse just so you can avoid the real issue? The real issue is a dead baby and frummies who would rather defend child abusers and idiot herbal granolist homeopaths than admit that frum Jews can do terrible things.

    Reply to Bozo rebbe
The parents are not child abusers. They were foolish in not giving their child antibiotics and in taking her to homeopath instead of a medical doctor. They have suffered enough. They did not need the additional pain of their baby having an autopsy and I am glad that it was prevented.
