Evangelicals Run Islamic Style Jihad Camps In Midwest

ABC News reports:

An in-your-face documentary out this weekend is raising eyebrows, raising hackles and raising questions about evangelizing to young people.

Speaking in tongues, weeping for salvation, praying for an end to abortion and worshipping a picture of President Bush — these are some of the activities at Pastor Becky Fischer’s Bible camp in North Dakota, “Kids on Fire,” subject of the provocative new documentary, “Jesus Camp.”

“I want to see them as radically laying down their lives for the gospel as they are in Palestine, Pakistan and all those different places,” Fisher said. “Because, excuse me, we have the truth.”

“A lot of people die for God,” one camper said, “and they’re not afraid.”

sounds like bs to me–I doubt anybody is “worshipping” Bush. Anybody who thinks Jews has more to fear from Evangelicals than Islmasofascists is welcome to their comforting illusions.

Frankly, I would rather see these kids being trained to fight than I would like to see them trained to lay down and submit to the whims of radical Islam.

Now, where are the Jewish camps doing this? Oh yeah. I almost forgot. If Jews do this, they label us a “terrorist organization” and put us on the list next to Hamas, Hezbullah, and Al Quida . . .

Let no harsh words said against the religion of peace….

Jihad Style??? Really??? Im betting a years wages that if anybody suffers from them it will be murderous Muslims who find that they will no longer go around murdering Copts and other Christians around the world while everyone looks the other way while at the same time the Muslims cry their usual crocodile tears of how they are oppressed, so these same bastards who think Muslims are getting a raw deal are the same type who whip up hysteria when Chritians finally become more militant then ever before.

God willing if it comes to it, one of them will blow up in Mecca and take the kaaba and a few thousand of those bastards with them.

I read a review of this doc the other day that a friend sent me. I don’t doubt the insanity of Xtians, but I was offended that the reviewer found criticism of global warming and conservative politics to be equal to religious intolerance.

    > I was offended that the reviewer found criticism of global warming and conservative politics to be equal to religious intolerance.

Why is that surprising? In the minds of many people the “truth” of global warming is as good as a religious tenet; not subject to any reasoned debate and any criticism thereof denied as heresy. Ditto for Conservative (and Liberal, I might add) politics.

I think it is great what they are doing, although I believe the original article is biased. I don’t see Christians as becoming suicide bombers (willing to die for a cause does not equal willing to become a murderer), but standing up to Islam. Let’s face it, evangelical Christians are among Israel’s strongest supporters, unfortunately stronger than many “liberal” Jews.

Illogical extremism of any sort can only be detrimental to society. i put wahabism, ultra- orthodoxy, and fundamentalist christians in the same basket

just because they are not in any position to actualize their ideology doesnt mean that they wont in the future, just because nobody is in a position to stone me for breaking shabbos doesnt mean that the folks in meah shearim wont stone me if they had the opportunity

BTW: meah shearim is gematriah 666 which according to the vilna gaon’s commentary on the zohar “mesod hayesod” is a very auspicious number in kabbalah
