What Rabbis Worry About When They’re Not Covering For Child Abusers

From JewishSexuality.com:

6. The exclusive position of the marital union is with the wife lying on her back, facing up, and the husband lying upon her, facing down. This way of union is the select and most perfect union, which the Torah desires. This is called, "the face to face union." Any other position is almost certain to bring about the spilling of semen in vain. If the woman is on top of the man, this is considered brazenness (Shulchan Aruch, 240:5) and the pull of gravity will surely cause the wasting of semen. The same is true if they are standing or sitting. Anal intercourse is considered an act of loathsome brazenness. Besides the absolute spilling of semen in vain, this is considered in the Kabbalah like sacrificing one’s children to the idol Molech. Intercourse from the back is also brazenness, even if the organ of the Brit is inserted into the proper place, and the pull of gravity will cause the spilling of semen in vain from the wife, since she lies on her stomach. Furthermore, because the strongest of klipot surround the buttocks of the woman, when the Brit passes by this impure area, it will be polluted by klipot and these klipot will be transferred to the wife’s sexual organ and to the offspring of such a union. Only in the case of physical handicap or advanced pregnancy may this positioned be approved by a qualified rabbinic authority.

7. Oral sex is certainly not kosher, causing the eyes to see what is forbidden to see, and causing the spilling of semen in vain.

Rabbi Levy adds: "Please know my brother and friend that all of these unholy unions that are mentioned above, if they are engaged in, they are not kosher in their very essence [even though they are permitted by halakha – Shmarya] since they bring about the wasting of semen, and this in turn creates a multiplicity of evil spiritual forces which bring sickness, tribulations, and damage to one’s livelihood, for all of the pain and sorrrow that befall the Jewish People in this world stem from unholy unions like these, may the L-rd save and guard us from them. Make an accounting of your soul, how much you will have to pay, and what needless sufferings come from these matters, that were done without thought, without a reverence for G-d, and without a feeling of shame, all of which cause sorrow to our Father in Heaven, and bring about a lessening of light and beneficence from the Shechina." …

9. As a warning, the wife should continue to lie on her back after marital relation for approximately ten minutes, and not turn on her stomach or side, and not immediately rise from the bed to go the bathroom, so that her husband’s semen should not flow out from her and cause the wasting of semen.

10. Similarly, the husband should not withdraw from his wife immediately after relations, but rather remain lying upon her another several minutes, and not withdraw while his organ is rigid, for this causes drops of semen to spill out.

Jews, these are your rabbis. Run away, as fast as you can.

I dunno what lubabs are into, which is probably all you know, but standard “black hat” chosson teachers don’t take that point of view. Good try bringing some wacko breslov site as if that’s mainstream orthodox or chareidi.

  2. What did your chatan teacher tell you?

  3. It’s not a Breslov site. It’s Sefardic and, if you look through the pictures section, you’ll see this man has the support of hesder rosh yeshivas and others.

  4. Shmulik

I looked through the pictures – never heard of a single one of those guys, and I lived in Israel for a few years. Besides, the pictures were of a “tikkun hayesod” ceremony at the kotel, which doesn’t imply personal support for this guy.

  5. I know three of them, Rabbi Samson, Tzvi Fishman and the rabbi from Emmunah College. I’ve heard of others, as well.

  6. Shmulik

good for you, but so what?

  7. In other words, they’re known commodities – in the hesder yeshiva world, in the Sefardic world.

  8. The baby eats it, so it’s not wasted. LOL!

  9. Shmulik

The site is filled with bullshit. for example where he claims that women remain barren for their entire lives because they had sex in positions other than missionary. no normal rav would ever say that.

  10. Welcome to real world of haredim, my friend. This is normative stuff in hasidic communities, in Sefeardic communities and in Edah Charedis.

  11. Shmulik

i am part of the world of haredim. no need to welcome me in your condescending way, my friend. and THIS GUY IS NOT CHAREIDI. he’s some kind of generally sephardi/religious zionist/ kabballah quack. like one of the “baba’s” from netivot who anyone half intelligent snickers at.

  12. Which of course explains why there are respected hesder and other rabbis attending and speaking at his events.

  13. Shmulik

1, i challenge u to prove how respected these guys are, second, it wasn’t his damn event. you’re the gullible one, falling for this guy’s self promotion.

  14. Now, what did your hatan teacher tell you?

  15. Shmulik

Is this strictly for titillation purposes?

  16. Anonymous

can someone maybe answer my question( maybe one of you charedi guys), I am really curious. If one can’t spill seed how come a pregnant lady can have sex, how come women who don’t menstrate can have sex, and so on and so on.

  17. Anonymous

Shmarya did you learn this stuff in chosson classes?

  18. Shmulik

anonymous: the reason is that “not spilling seed” does not mean “sex is only for procreation”.

  19. anon

Read Gefen Poriah, especially the Hebrew parts. Written by the Godol Hador of Pesaach–Blumenkrantz. A lot of this stuff is in it and has destroyed much love and loving.

  20. Yes. The man who tried to ban styrofoam containers because of “tarfus” (treife). A ganse meshuggenah and a second-tier gadol. May God save us.

  21. Yochanan Lavie

Do Modern Orthodox buy into this stuff? They are always looking over their right shoulders nowadays (esp. the ones who style themselves “centrist”). Not a rhetorical question- I am curious.

  22. Scam Alert

scottie boy is obsessed with sex because he hasnt gotten any and he probably cant get any.

Shmarya, the quote of your website is, “The seal of G-d is Truth.” When you write inflammatory posts such as this one, you are bing very deceptive. You should make it very clear in these types of posts that this is not the view of the majority of Jews. Your language here infers that this is the view of mainstream Judaism. You then end with the quote, “Jews, these are your rabbis. Run away, as fast as you can.” Thats not a helpful statement. You want to make a change for the good right?

  24. george

fuck you, you damned bastard! rot in hell.

I just love reading the comments on this site. Every time a group of rabbis somewhere makes idiotic statements of any kind, inevitably someone says in the comments “he’s not REALLY one of us!” Hello! He looks like you, he acts like you, he spouts the same talmudic fairy tales that you do, he went to the same yeshivas and learned the same garbage that you did – how do you expect anyone to believe he’s not one of you? If it looks like a duck….

If it looks like a duck….

  29. talmid muvhak of Rav Belsky

This past Shabbos R’ Dovid Cohen of Khal Gvul Yaavetz publicly stated that he was the author of the “Open Letter To Rav Matisyahu Salomon” regarding the blogs. Rav Cohen stated that he has all his information from his position as the clergyman for Ohel Children’s Home. What is strange to me is that in 1998 Ohel too was written up in the NY Post as having been involved with a major coverup over the rapes of young boys by their male counselors. Shame on you Dovid Cohen. Not too long ago you were written up in the media (NY Times etc.) as the rabbi that gave advice to a woman to bribe Gerald Garson, the convicted matrimonial judge who presided in Kings County. It was that bribery case that brought down Judge Garson. You are no rav, you are a phoney. You are no Cohen either, you are the child of a Gerusha and a Cohen. You are a Challal at best, that is if your really Jewish. Your disgraceful arrogance is not found among true Jews. Your shul building was purchased with laundered funds from a convicted felon (Green)hiding today from the law in Switzerland. The public should be aware of who you really are. Rav Belsky too has stated on numerous occassions that you Dovid Cohen are the antecedent of a new tribe of challal meyuchsan as well as the puke of the Jewish community. Once again Shame on you!

    Is Oral Sex Kosher Sex?

Rabbi Shmuley Boteach – Sunday, 22 June, 1997

Students of Jewish thought are under the impression that oral sex is prohibited as a matter of law. They cite the rulings in the Code of Jewish law that says that that for a man to kiss the area of his wife’s genitals is lewd, thus prohibing cunnilingus, and that wasted seed is a severe prohibition, thus prohibiting oral sex on a man. In truth, however, these prohibitions are not law within Judaism, and the Talmud goes to great lenghts to emphasize that whatever brings pleausre to a husband and wife is permitted in marriage.

took chatan classes with chassidic rabbi. he taught me this kind of stuff, but then noted that there are other opinions and if i am not happy with what he said, i can look there. he even gave me names and book titles. maybe i was lucky.

The only way alot of women get ‘off’ or have an organism is when you oral them- this what my wife wants-if you do that your wife will never ‘stray’
Hey Herideem is it true you got to place a sheet between a married couple with a hole in it?????????????????????????

    Hey Herideem:
What happens when your wife who gets no REAL joy out of love making talks to another wife that has a husband that knows how to make her go ‘gong’ You lose suckers.

  32. Rowan Berkeley

Wonderful stuff. People who say this is exaggerated and untypical do not understand the nature of human and cultural types.

My favourite, from a thoroughly mainstream source, is that the pious Jew should avoid thinking about divinity while in the bathroom. He should think about commerce, I am instructed.

Incidentally, both pious Jews and pious Muslims avoid building bathrooms on a holy orientation. This is because God is presumed to be watching everyone all the time and it would be indecent to expose one’s full frontal or full dorsal nudity to Him.

There is no difference between ritualistic religious thinking and magical thinking – the idea that one is ‘monotheistic’ and the other not is complete delusion.

  33. yehud

Rowan, the only difference is that the Jewish people have the history, accomplishments, uniqueness and fulfilled prophecy to back up their religious way of life. No other people or religion can compare, I’ve researched it myself. And when it comes to speaking in the bathroom I ask you; if there was a person whom you loved and respected deeply and who passed away, would you want to talk to someone about your loved one in a nasty smelling, urine on the floor, feces filled bathroom? its a matter of respect that you wouldnt. So how much more so when it comes to G-d. You dont talk or even think of him while in there.

  34. Yos

How would one then define superstition and the prohibition thereof? But then, in Chassidus superstition is pretty much the whole religion, right. 613 wha…?

  35. Anonymous

If our tradition says something is real in a spiritual sense (like reincarnation, prayer, angels etc.) then its real. Anything else is superstition. Moses made a copper serpent pole through which G-d healed the people. Whatever Moshe did was proper. If I were to make some copper pole and say that this would also heal you, that would be superstition.
To someone who doesnt follow the chassidic tradition, it may seem like superstition. But when you hear stories about vertain rebbes, and when you meet them and they can tell you things about yourself that they shouldn’t normally know, it makes you wonder. If you dont believe me, first visit a rebbe (I would recommend one of the Biala Rebbes) and then make up your mind. I’m serious. Go visit one before you assume its all superstition. You might be surprised.

  36. shmucky boteach is considered beyond the pale by his own former fellow lubabs. find me a normal ortho rabbi who will permit oral sex in any way.
