New (Italian) JBlog

Just got word of a new JBlog. It’s written by an Italian Jew, in Italian, and it mentions … FailedMessiah.com:

Failed Messiah è il blog di Shmarya Rosenberg, un ex Chabad che segue molto da vicino le vicende dell’ortodossia, non solo ultra, ed è la fonte più indicata per conoscere da vicino gli aspetti meno simpatici di questo mondo, di cui in Italia si ha solo una conoscenza letteraria. La triste realtà di oggi comprende carne kasher prodotta sfruttando la manodopera clandestina, oppressione delle donne nel nome (che novità) della Tradizione e della Modestia, molestie sessuali nelle yeshivot. Condivido il suo grido di allarme, rivolto a tutti gli ebrei, e inauguro con lui la serie di blog (e siti) ebraici consigliati ai miei pochi lettori.
